Tell us more about who you are and what you do!
I am Alyssa, a Fashion Stylist with over 15 years of experience in the fashion industry and owner of jewelry brand, HOMNE. I am also a new mom! I started my career in the world of celebrity dressing but have since transitioned into marketing fashion. I specialize in wardrobe styling for brands looking to elevate their brand identity by styling their campaigns, lookbooks and marketing shoots. I am also the owner and jewelry designer of my unisex jewelry line, HOMNE. My time is split between the creative outlets of styling and jewelry designing and taking care of my son.

What inspired you to become a fashion stylist?
I knew I wanted to be a fashion stylist at a very young age. My mom works in the industry so I grew up going to photoshoots and learned about all the roles behind the scenes. That is how I discovered the job I knew I wanted and I worked hard to get here.
You also own the jewelry brand HOMNE. What's coming down the pipeline for your brand?
I am so excited for the new chapter of HOMNE. We just launched gold jewelry after primarily showcasing only sterling silver pieces so it has been fun to see that expansion. The most exciting thing coming down the pipeline is clothing! Not sure when we will launch but it's in the works.

What is a 2025 fashion trend you are happy to see go and what is a 2026 trend you are looking forward to wearing?
The 2025 fashion trend I am happy to see go is the “capsule wardrobe”. I feel like some people may disagree with me because I do understand the value of a capsule wardrobe but I think it makes people lose their creative edge when getting dressed. Fashion is a form of art, self expression and it should be fun, not uniform. I am starting to notice that in 2026 people are starting to celebrate their own identity through wardrobe and are embracing more color, prints and unique ways to style themselves. I know I will be dressing more authentically in 2026 and develop more of my creative flare.
When you are feeling uninspired by your wardrobe, what is a tip for getting reinspired?
When I am feeling uninspired by my wardrobe, I like to go to Pinterest for ideas on how to rewear pieces I love but need a fresh take on. I also find inspiration in going through some older accessories - handbags, shoes, etc and anything that sparks joy, I will restyle and I notice the creative ideas start to flow organically from there.
How do you balance motherhood and working for yourself?
Balancing motherhood and working for myself is a challenge. One I have fully embraced and accepted that it is and will always be a balancing act. Being a parent has taught me that your time is precious and using any opportunity of time to do something productive can go a long way. I may not have hours upon hours to work anymore but I find the time throughout the day and tackle one thing at a time.

How do you like to style your Just Black Denim jeans?
I love to style my Just Black Denim with my core wardrobe staples and then add a subtle edge to the overall look. The Barrel Jeans are perfect for more relaxed days at home with layered jewelry while the Jorts are fun to dress up with a belt and heels.
