Right now I'm directing a play for the first time, which is very cool because it's something I've always wanted to do. I am also in post production on a feature film I co-wrote and acted in that will be done later this year. I am always writing one million different scripts, short stories, and plays that have an undetermined timeline, which is ultimately determined by me... unfortunately.
What is your favorite career highlight?
Ethan Coen said something nice about me once.
Where do you find inspiration creatively?
I'm constantly bombarded by ideas to the point where it's actually very overwhelming, so it's more like I have had to learn how to wrangle my inspiration in a pointed and disciplined way.
If you could change something about the film industry, what would it be?
Who is the next Scorsese?? I'm worried cinema is dying and that the appreciation will keep dwindling. So really, I would like to change the timeline we're currently all in and jump back to the 70s or 80s when studios were throwing mountains of cash at young filmmakers who had good, original ideas, and the skillset to execute freaking masterpieces. Basically: no more remakes plz.
What is the best career advice you've ever received?
There's room for everyone.
What do you like about your Just Black Denim jeans?
They fit so well, are very comfortable while being very chic, and I'll say it... they make my ass look good!!
